This pot warmed in a fire's embers. A dovetailed seam joins the top and base around the widest shape of the vessel. Note the repaired joint line and the soldered spout base. The lid has a steam vent opening. Its graceful neck, long spout, carved handle, and hammered finger grip formed an elegant server for beverages or water for washing hands.
