Such thin mint depositors were sold in four-, five-, six-, and eight-spout models. The worker poured hot fondant onto marble or a water-cooled metal table, which rapidly cooled the poured circles and kept them from coalescing. When the candy cooled completely, the worker slipped a spatula under the thin mint to release it from the substrate.
