The box-mounted Right Speedy Corn Sheller was suitable for stripping small quantities of corn at home to grind into cornmeal, to pop, or to prepare as poultry feed. Its spring-loaded cutters adjusted to various diameters of dry corn. Note the heart design on the handle gear. The heart pattern, also popular for hand tools such as apple parers, softened the hard labor of home and farm work.
