The Culinary Curiosity Exhibition organizes the tools by techniques familiar to professional chefs, such as size reduction, extrusion, and heat transfer. The displays are placed throughout the building so that students, faculty, and visitors can interact with them daily.
The donors hope to inspire students' curiosity, not only about technologies and techniques from the past, but also about entrepreneurship and careers in the food sciences.
This display features a sample of key objects that represent the variety and rarity of artifacts in the collection. Check out the pre-Energy Star, zero emissions, spring-driven spit roaster! And get the scoop on how a change in production methods bogged down our cranberry harvester for good.
